AFLighting introduces eight portables from new Horizon Series designer Greg O’Neal. O’Neal brings tremendous talent and fresh ideas to a gifted Horizon Series team. His resume includes design for Revco, Four Hand Imports and Pier 1 Imports.

O’Neal draws inspiration from things he most covets: found one-of-kinds, historic objects and iconic ethnic art. He combines bold metallic details, distinctive finials and crystal pediments so that each lamp itself is unique, opulent and impactful in any space.

AFLighting is expanding its popular Horizon Series with 34 new creations from four talented designers. Catherine Smoak, Deborah Benz, and Kathy Kuo added to their 2010 line-up and are joined by Greg O’Neal who has designed for such companies as Revco, Four Hand Imports and Pier 1 Imports.

Kathy is a product of the Rhode Island School of Design and has experience as an industrial designer, model, television host and a buyer and decorator/entrepreneur. Some of her designs are described as reflecting rustic elegance but, according to Paul Spano of AFLighting, “They are as comfortable in a penthouse as a lake home or mountain retreat. Kathy’s genius is to incorporate and blend inspirations from her jet-set, globe traveling lifestyle that inspire her global exotic home décor.”

AFLighting, a division of Interline Brands, Inc., announced that it will introduce a new collection of lamps by designer Michael Mendoza. These lamps are part of AFLighting’s new Horizons Series being launched at the Las Vegas World Market in February and features 4 designers and 37 introductions.

Michael Mendoza is one of the four designers AFLighting has called on this year to create and launch their new Horizons Series of lighting décor. Although it may not be immediately apparent how one might use iron to create lighting designs inspired by the world of clothing fashion, that is exactly what Michael does.
